KWH assumed an ownership position and subsequently renovated Centrum Plaza, a 50,000 square foot building located in Pembroke Pines. The property fronts Pines Boulevard and is one mile from I-75. The initial challenge was to work with the existing tenants of the building, with KWH’s plan being to sell 49% of the building to those existing tenants, essentially affording a pay off of the existing mortgage. This aggressive goal was reached and the balance of the medical and dental tenants committed to long-term leases.
South Miami, Florida
This 40,000 square foot building, located approximately one mile from South Miami Hospital and near residential neighborhoods including South Miami, Pinecrest, Coral Gables and Kendall, was 50% vacant when the KWH purchased the property. The plan was to convert it to a medical building through an extensive renovation that included making the building medically compliant.
